Found strange cross

Not saying this is what you have, but there is a mineral called Staurolite that forms crystals that often take a cross shape naturally.

It contains iron, and will polish to a shiny black.

Looks man made and is very interesting. I would be interested in finding out what it is myself.

looks similar but the center is soft like a stone, will try to polish 1 side with sandpaper and see what happens

No!... I would not do that just yet.
Wait and make sure of what you have before doing something radical to it just yet.

the pin looks like its close to the edge of piece
looks like something in there,at the center of
the cross, it almost looks like a pin?
is this the side the pin is close to, i lightened it a tad

Wow, that is a cool find. The four outer termini almost have a Crusader Cross type of styling.

What state was this found? It sure looks like a cross rock. Here is a cross section photo. Maybe the "pin" you are seeing is part of the inside stone? Very cool!

It was found in Lithuania Nemunas river by city Kaunas. maybe i will polish other side? or the same side deeper? :icon_scratch:
