Golden Treasures of the San Juans Temple H Cornelius & John B Marshall copyright 1961 reprint 1983 Stolen Bullion of Indian Ridge page 45
The story is about two highgraders that had to bury their loot and never got back to retrieve it. The author helped them in their effort.
An hour and a half from my house I set out to find it and did with a little help from Google Earth. My friend had a decent detector but the cache is two feet down.
We found the markers described in the book including the spring to the west of the bury site. And then we found a horse shoe that fits a burro.
If you want to go and retrieve it yourself the location is exactly at the north Dolores Colorado county line on Hwy 145. Read the story, walk in 1/2 a mile and detect until you find it.
Just bring a very large coil and contact me if you need more info. I don't have a large coil. Lucky Larry
