very nice ! might google lead soldiers. good luck.

Looks like that soldier is equipped with a flame thrower. Post WWII would be my guess.
Congratulations

early maybe mid 40's my guess

Some kids long ago must have been play out there and lost their toys!! :icon_thumright:

Congratualtions on the old toys! :occasion14:

Chrissylou,

All Ol' Sub can offer is the soldier is most likely a home-cast, post WW1 era, based on the high boots, ruck sack and long bayonet. The other figure appears to be a "Grandma" figure, with purse, umbrella, and dress. Probably a doll house figure or part of a set of Nursery Rhyme characters, like those Manoil and Tommy Toy made post WW2. Congrats! Sub 8-)

Thanks so much for your messages and very useful information. I searched up lead grandma figure and came across a set Cadburys made in 1930. It's Granny owl!
I'm living in London and just found them gardening outside. There's lots of unusual things and the rain kind of unearths them! My Dad has a metal detector, must get him down here.

I would have your dad over soon. Finding lead toys in your garden is really nice, and there may be more there for your dad to find.
