Does anybody have any information on it? It has standard gold color written on the back and a plain front. Good find or junk?

1820-1840 flat button. Civilian use, one of the more common backmarks of the period. Nice button.

I wouldn't consider any flat button junk. They are a great part of history! Definitely a keeper.
