I found this nice little 18k butterfly ring on the beach today. Found five little bangle bracelets also. Can't find a stamp on the bracelets, so I'm guessing they are junk. Guess I need to get a test kit. I am new to detecting. Until today I had been the champion beer tab finder. And maybe $1.00 worth of modern clad coins.

I think I'm hooked now. It took me about 6 trips and lots of junk and about 18 hours to hit pay dirt. I'm keeping it for my granddaughter.

Good hunting!

I put a magnifier to my old eyes and low and behold the ring is 10K. Dang it, but it's still gold and I'm still happy. Sorry for the error, but I'm sure you folks won't hold it against me.

Take care and good luck.

Hahaha, I liked that one.

Hello Surfview, very nice ring you found. I've been at this for 35 years or something like that, lol and I'm only one ahead of in the gold ring department. Keep up the great work, it has paid off nicely for you.

Very Nice! :occasion14: You'll find your 1st gold ring, then your second, then your 10th, then your 50th, 100th, etc. The rush you get after digging gold never never gets old! Cheers....
