Found This Interesting Decorative Spigot Thing...And Some Cool Foundation Site Pics!!

Any ideas what this object is? Seems to be some sort of spigot, but I'm not really sure. The opening on the bottom is threaded.

I came across these 2 foundations in the woods....one was a creamery. I found a dumping area for the house and came across this cool inkwell! Waterman's Ink...

Enjoy the pics - these sites (the creamery in particular) had some of the most intact walls I've ever seen. But there is masonry, suggesting they are more mid/late 1800s than early...

That spigot is really neat. Perhaps a valve from an old gas light fixture? Just a thought.

I like the ink well as well as the gas valve, but I find the foundation more interesting. Sorry. I just get into these old home sites and the imagination of the people who constructed them. Thanks for sharing all the photos.

I didn't actually, and now you are making me want to!

I originally couldn't figure out which one was the creamery and which was the house but I realized that the one with the round rocks was in fact the house. At first I though those stones had some purpose for the creamery, but now that I know it's the house, I'll have to go check. They are very peculiar...
