Found this holed IHC at a cellar hole, i`m wondering if it`s a die error of some sort, appears to be an 1859, no evidence of a shield, I thought it was an early eagle button from the bold inner rim on the obverse, also it flips over upside down, The hole on the ob, is over her head, on the rev, it`s where the shield would be, I searched for errors of this variety but found nothing, Anyone familiar with this?

What does it say on the head band .. Doesn't look like it says Liberty.

It`s hard to read, ill try to get a close up of it.

It may be a token. I recall seeing a store token in semblance to an Indian Head Penny.

Okay, probably a civil war token, it`s not in the book though, going to have to research more., , thanks.

It's likely one of the "Not One Cent" Civil War tokens. Below is the closest I can find:

Above is a 1863 Fuld F-95/368. Lots of different die varieties with slightly different obverses or wreaths but always cool to find one. Congrats on the nice Civil War token!
