This is strange, same size as an Indian head but the obverse has this odd rim going around the inner edge, also, if you notice where the hole is when it`s flipped, it does not line up as the usual US coins do, My guess it`s an 1859, no evidence of a shield on the reverse, the shield would land where the hole is, is this a die error? i searched for it but nothing.

I know the 1859 has no shield, i`m asking about why it does not flip properly, one side is stamped wrong, and if you notice the inner rim on the obverse, that should not not be there, compare it to any IHC you have by flipping it and how it lands, this one is 360 degrees off.

I think it’s a very crude fake, or possibly a civil war token, but hard to see a date, you say 1859? Ok.....
Bizarre to be that date if a CWT...
“LIBERTY” not across headband, ain’t got it in me to look into it any further....

I figured 1859 since there was no shield, but yes i agree, more than likely a CW token.
