Found this little piece of silver today!

I'm not a coin guy and was wondering if the little melted part on top of the coin would affect the value of this guy? It looks like someone made this coin into a necklace or some sort of jewlery. Thanks for your time.

Short and sweet answer, yes it does but you are not looking at something valuable beyond the silver content. Nothing worse than pulling up a sweet coin and seeing someone dried it to wear around their neck. Ruins them for sure

That's a cool find. Foreign silver counts In VF condition the coin would be worth about 4 bucks.

Well done on finding Silver.
I have found a few drilled coins and with the exception of a Love Token, it is sad to see damaged coins.

Very nice find. I suspect it had rings on both sides, and was "maybe" a bracelet.

You will see a lot of them, with either holes drilled, or rings welded onto them.
