I was detecting a new site in 2011, digging iron when I found this pottery fragment. It happened to have a crescent moon on it, being found in South Carolina it is a blessed find! Other artifacts provided proof of early trade near Charleston. Unfortunately there may have been a battle also, a number of musket balls and flintlock weapon parts were found.
