A happy thanksgiving

Today, I went to a new site. Along the South River, I was looking along the shoreline for native american artifacts. I had done some research beforehand and read that Natives frequented the region. To no suprise, I found a Levanna Projectile Point, dating to the late woodland period (700 AD to 1350 AD) about an hour after my arrival. I would have loved to explore the site further, but I had to go to Thanksgiving so I didn't have more time to look. However, for the time I was there, I found a lot of flakes, as well as a few pieces of colonial pottery. I only kept the pound, but I look forward to having more time for this site. All and all though, I am super thankful. Here is the point in question:

I'm just grateful that I finally found my second point. Its been tough finding a new site, but I'm confident that on a return trip to this place (when I have more time), I will walk out with many more relics!
