You can buy them on eBay for $20 bucks but to me the thrill of pulling it out of the ground was priceless.

Anything old military is a great find in my book.
 
Thanks everyone, I'm kind of new to the relic hunting part of metal detecting. I've been beepen for 31 years off and on. Bt for most of that I was back in N.E. but now that I'm in Florida the old silver isn't as easy to come by so I'm finding new s to discover

Very nice I dug a WW1 equipment marker so that's really close. Happy hunting!
