It certainly is cool! What size is it? I can't see the back very well- does it look like it could have been attached to something? Like it could be a button?

It's about the size of a penny, looks like it,could have been a button. I would love to know time frame of it. 1700's ? Found in Niverville, NY.

It is metal, just did the magnet test, sorry were not giving it up.

Nice find. It's a real hunting theme. Crossed sword & riding crop, whippets or greyhounds, and a post horn.

Thanks, also found this the other day in front of an old church. Not sure what it could be used for, I put the quarter there so you could size it.

Very nice 'sporting button!' You last item is a bell. Judging by the size, it looks like a funeral bell, with the clanger missing, which was often on horse tack from a horse drawn hearse, and it makes sense since you found it near a church. Both are neat finds! WELCOME to the forum Breezie

sportsman button.is my guess. the bell looks like it fell of Rudolph the red nosed Reindeer .

Very cool button but Im afraid its 20th century if the back is steel. It looks rusted and it also looks like the self shank type.
