Found US Army button

Hey everyone I'm new to the site here. I haven't been into metal detecting long but I live on a property dating back to 1765. I haven't found much of anything if real interest(some old farm equipment/barbed wire/garbage buried in the yard while doing yard work. Today I decided to take out the metal detector and do a quick walk around the yard and within minutes found a US Army button. I don't know anything about it other than it says US Army on it and has two stars on the button. I was hoping someone here could tell me some more info on the button and maybe when it is from.

Yup WW1 trouser buttons , I found a few those at a old ww1 camp
