Found with the buckle what is it?

[Diggin Dude]

I was metal detecting and found this old buckle and right near it is this long metal piece not sure what it is.

Can anyone identify it?

I believe they are from the late 1800's to early 1900 s judging by the site I was hunting, the were about 6 inches deep.

Thank you

Here is a photo with a quarter in it for size reference.

Good luck with that one

I would guess a broken pan or pot handle?

[Broken knee]

Could it be a hand wrought lifting handle for a wood stove?HH

That could be a possibility.

I think Broken knee nailed it.
