Hello All. I found these yesterday at an 1880's home site.

Is the copper ball is a toilet float??
Very small caliber rifle casing??
Brass linkage thing may also be toilet related?
The brass "Double R" thing is a mystery...

The shell casing is a 308 blank that has not been fired...Live round

I think it is a live training blank.

The ball is a float and the arm thing is the link that goes from the float and value. The round end of the arm is to adjust that water level.

Not sure if it came off the toilet, might have came off a horse trough.
