So where are you getting 1934 from? It looks like the photos come from multiple different events and the program in the back looks like 1994. I'm just confused.
The theme is The Open Polo Championship in 1934. The material used to
make this is older like the frame is not
from the 1990's or the pictures you can see this was
made a long while back like in The 1930's..

I'm confused too. It does look like 1994. not 1934. Also, lower down, the poster says "COMING HOME TO MEADOWBROOK' with the venus as one word. The club hosted the championship in both of those years but although it was originally named "MEADOW BROOK" (as two words), it didn't contract the name to MEADOWBROOK" (as one word) until 1961.

This looks like a composite representing team or individual achievement/participation over a number of years in a number of places/tournaments. The trophy shown top centre is not that of the US Open Polo Championship and neither is it the C.V. Whitney Cup nor the USPA Gold Cup (the other major US tournaments). I don't recognise it, nor what looks like a trophy in the form of an elephant at the bottom.

If the frame is older, it is of course entirely possible that someone has re-used an old frame.

I dont think all of it is 1934 though. Those two larger photos are in color and pretty decently sharp for an action shot, the clothes theyre wearing are also not from 1934. And while color photography was invented in like 1890, it wasn't common until the 60's. So its unlikely someone would've taken a color photo at a polo match in 1934. Also I doubt the mark in the photo is a continuation of the number behind it, because why did it only do it for that number and not the others? The 4 should also show through the picture no? This event also happened in Meadowbrook in 1994.

PS: In addition to the spelling as one word, "Coming Home to Meadowbrook" would also make sense for 1994.

The Club had hosted the tournament every year between 1923 and 1951 (plus 1953) but there was then a long gap before the tournament returned to Meadowbrook in 1994.

The guy in the yellow jersey (top left) dates from around 1974. IMO. If you’re in to polo, it’s an interesting piece. Not much polo activity in Iowa. 👍🏼
