Hi,
I found what looks to be some sort of fraternity medallion made of copper. It is in the shape of a shield about the size of a Washington quarter. It has a diagonal piece of copper across the front of the shield, a genie lamp above it and 7 stars in the shape of the "little dipper" below it. There is an inscription on the both sides of the shield. The left side is in Greek: ZEVPLS XELPL. The right side says: EV XELPI. On the top, an "A", "E" and "O" appear just below a star. Could it be Alpha Epsilon Omicron? (I typed this out in a Latinized script, I don't know correct Greek translation). The back is smooth and devoid of any detail or writing. There is NO HOLE for a necklace chain or loop for a pin or button. Let me know if you can identify this item. I would like to know as much about this as possible. I can post a picture this weekend if needed. Thank you.

Matt

I think you may be mistaking Omnicron with Omega. It may be a challenge type coin-if someone shows you theirs, you have to show yours or the round of drinks are on your tab. Don't know for sure-never was in fraternity-was a dormy instead.

Hi everyone,
I was told this item is an Alpha Phi Fraternity Coat Of Arms medallion. Thank you for viewing, though.
