Hit up a site that has yielded a pair of Confederate Script C Cavalry buttons in the past and ended up digging what I believe is a civil war era pistol. Gonna take quite a bit of electrolysis to get the crud off but I'm anxious for the results. Hopefully it's not a cap gun. I'm not familiar with the style of the handle but it appears to resemble a pepperbox style pistol?
On the way back to the truck I was able to eyeball a clay pipe bowl. I've found quite a few of these on the surface of riverbanks but I've never found one with any type of insignia or logo. This one had a masonic emblem on it though. After going online I found a similar piece which was found by a diver nearby which closely matches this one

Thanks for looking!
