hi everyone I found this coin yesterday in the french charente-maritime region in a village with a huge natural spring...
but I've yet to find the same exact coin online yet...

but the "chatel" in the middle on the reverse side was used it between 1220-1360 (ish)

I'll upload other stuff I've found over time and that I've kept ..

It's a 1373 - 1415 French Jetton, of the Charles V - Charles VI period, nice find :thumbsup: I like Jettons, it's been a while since I found one.

Yeap, I was just about to say; Jetton, but SS IDed it.

These don't normally come up that nice, probably not from a ploughed field? It's a good one!

No, its a 'reckoning counter' used to calculate accounts & taxes. They used lots of them on a board, in a similar way to how an abacus worked.
