Viking Trefoil Brooch :notworthy: never seen one as big as that, but quite rare over here. I once found one of the lobes from one, but not a complete one like that beauty.

Incredible finds. Just couldn't imagine pulling something like that out. Guess the woes of being a comparatively young nation. Congrats my friend.

Great video of ancient finds. The relics look to be shallow. I am sure you will find much more treasure. Thank you for sharing with us!

I agree it should make the Banner, it is a very rare piece indeed, but how many people will vote for it:dontknow: because they perhaps don't know just what a incredible piece it really is.

The brooch would have been used to fasten a cloak or shawl at the breast.

That Viking Trefoil Brooch is a BANNER no brainer to me!!!! (Vote in)

The first buckle looks 13/14th C. The working silver one is very nice, so is the weight with the 'S'.

The two faced pewter piece might be a terminal to a spoon, looks 18th C.

That is some great new land, & that brooch would make my year. COMPLETE in a ploughed field - lucky!

Dang, I am so extremely jealous! Truly superb discoveries man!

I can't imagine why the Viking trefoil brooch shouldn't be up on the BANNER ?

That's because the American majority here represents the pinnacle of cultural sophistication. If it isn't a recent gold bullion coin, modern ring, common silver 8-real, or yet another GW button or cufflink then it is of no importance whatsoever. 1,000+ year-old artifacts created and used by the respectable and fearsome Northmen are no match for the impeccably refined tastes of the user-base here.
