TO: All WMA and Mining Supporters,
The Public Resources Trailer Bill AB 120, wherein is buried the 5 year Suction Dredge Moratorium, passed the Senate today at 11:44 AM PT. But it only passed by 2 votes. It will next be handed to the Assembly and Governor Brown. There is still a chance of stopping it in the Assembly or in the Governor’s office. But there is very little time left to make a final assault on this Anti-Economy Trailer Bill. It is time to pull out all the stops and bury Sacramento in your letters and News Articles that show the negative economic impacts of this suction dredging language in AB 120. If you were ever going to make that final effort to stop the new 5 year moratorium, this is the time to do it. The sooner you act the bigger your impact will be. Why not do it tonight!
All the tools you need to do your part, and make Sacramento listen to your voice, is ready for you at www.thewma.org . There is even an update on today’s action in Sacramento on the WMA homepage.
This weekend will probably be the last chance we have to really change some minds in the Assembly and in the Governor’s office.
The only question is, will your Letter or News Article be the one that changes their mind?
Only with you on our team can we succeed!
