Fridays finds, help needed on U.S. tag ID

Well me and Oldschool took a little trip to where I got the Flying Eagle a while back. Only managed 1900 Indian there. Then we hit a school site and I pulled the 1890 and 1893 Indians. I also got a tag of some kind with "US" on it. Does anyone know what this might be for? Oldschool got a Round Oak stove advertising pin, a sterling initial pin and a 18something Indian ( I forgot what the exact date is) but I forgot to grab his stuff for pics. HH all. Dan

The tag could be from many different things. Nice going on the coins and other stuff!

Just guessing that the other side of the tag is the same, or has nothing on it?

I think the tag is military related (you probably already knew that) - that emblem is exactly like the one on a collar plate my buddy recently dug - I think it was WWI.
