Been going to a civil war era toll house for a while now and still pulling some goodies out. The place is littered with nails and iron so for the past 2 days I thought I would dig some iffy signals to see what popped out and also to play around with the iron audio on my ATP. Found a lot of junk but that's part of it. I found my first buffalo nickel which can't get a date from but still a first for me. Also some nice round balls, camp lead and a few other neat little finds. Just goes to show no place is truly hunted out HH

Nice finds freddy78.

My guess is the date on the nickle is in the range of 1913 to 1938 :)

Forgive me if this betrays my ignorance, but what is a "civil war" "toll house"?

Almost like a modern day toll booth. They would charge so much per head of cattle and by the wagon to use that road.
