Took a walk with my pups out in the field this morning, because me and mama were gonna be out most the day. Had a little blow-by come in from the high country that brought in a little snow flurries and dropped temps down in the low to mid 20s. The geese are very abundant in the wheat stubble this time of the year, as the lakes around are freezing over and I spotted little yote cruising along a little slough which is a small steam my little 7lb. Yorkshire Maltese mix, can jump in a single bound.

I think that coyote is going to be having goose for dinner..:occasion14:

They do ambush em at night. I've found quite a few goose feather piles over the years scattered about.

Nice photo's!

We had it frosty yesterday, it stayed that way most of the day. The weather just can't make up it's mind, first it's cool during the days, and then it wants to warm back up to the 40s.

Kinda the same thing here this winter. Does seem a little different than the normal patterns in the weather around here. It's more like what you'd have in Iowa and Nebraska imo. Maybe it's less of the mile high sunshine than other years. :dontknow:

Thank you for sharing! :icon_thumleft:

Thats a really cool photo wish I had a view like that. Thanks

Hey Grant, don't you ever get tired of taking such wonderful pics?!?!? :laughing7:

I don't think all are wonderful, but just fun as heck to click away now we live in the age of digital images. I really didn't like taking pictures during the age of film, because out 24 pictures you might be happy with one or two when you got them back. I was hoping I could get some good shots going up to Caribou, Colorado yesterday to see a mine high up, but things got kind of held up getting up the road, so I decided to turn around. The folks at the mine finally had to give this driver a little help getting up to the minesite who was making a delivery of a con-x they need. It would have been nice to get some pictures up there, because not every road to timberline is kept open this time of the year, so it's really neat to witness the high country at the times most folks are unable to get to unless you do it with snowshoes.

Nice pics! I really like that old oak(?) behind the geese. Love old trees. Thank you!

Yeah, we had enough of "mountain roads".....in the Ozarks! :tongue3:

Honestly, if we ever ventured onto true mountain roads, it'd either be a national disaster, or we'd be horribly, horribly lost!

That's actually a cottonwood tree growing next to an old irrigation ditch. It's huge and sits out in the middle by itself. I was thinking of taking a picture of it as it looks each month through the year as it changes through the season. It's walking distance from my house, so maybe I'll load my calendar to remind me to go to the very spot each month and take a picture of this unique old tree as it goes through its changes under the ever-changing sky and seasons.

That I'd like to see. She's a beauty! Thanks!

Thanks Chris, It was a one handed shot, as I was hanging on to two dogs. Ollie got it whiff of it, but he couldn't see it because of the tall brush we were in. Had he seen it, I may not have gotten a shot as he pulls like heck wanting to go after these cure dogs.

And you just had to send that cold stuff this way, didn't ya? :laughing9: It does make for great photos!

Not me, I'm just getting the rush of cold air from where RGINN lives. That cold flows downward and all the way east to where you are. Of course I'm lucky it all doesn't merge with the arctic air from the north, that hits you folks all at once in a massive cold front, which keeps the weather channel interesting to watch, as they show images of blowing blizzards and snow piling ever higher. Winter stoms around here come in fast and go out quickly.

Oh, I see, it is all RGINN's doings. LOL!

I have always loved having a white Christmas. Get a lot of those in Ohio, but this year I guess it is going to be in the 40-50's.

I hope you and Momma and the critters have a very Merry Christmas.

Mary Christmas to you and all who are with you. Yeah I don't believe we'll be seeing a white Christmas here either this year. They forecast a high of 45 under partly cloudy skies. It's always white up where RGINN lives this time of the year.

Love the pictures!

Thank you so much.
