Nice Father and son outing! How old is your boy? :icon_sunny:

Congrats gold eye! That's a great thing to be able to do with your son...
You're lucky to be able to hunt some old homes over there. There isn't much over here in St Pete that I've been able to find.
Hopefully your son will enjoy this hobby equally as much as he gets older!

Welcome to TNET! It is wonderful that you can share this hobby with your son. My own Dad taught his three sons about metal detecting 35 years ago, and we all treasured the Saturday mornings metal detecting in the tot lots of our town. Our goal was to find two dollars worth of coins. Dad would find the "beep", and the three of us would take turns digging out the targets. When we hit our two dollar goal, we all celebrated by going to Tastee Freez and getting ice cream cones. Those were really good times. Not only did we have a blast with our Dad, but we also unknowingly started to learn the value of money from a young age.

My son and I have been out the past 2 days. He is 2 so he can't stay out to long. I am starting him early. I dig the holes and fill them in..He comes behing me and digs them back out. Good Stuff.
