Funny how one hole can make the day

I had a hunch about a place that is very well traveled/hunted.
Been there many times myself. But, I always play my hunches.

I knew, going in, that I probably wouldn't find very much so
it didn't bother me too much that after 3.5 hours, I only had
a clad quarter, a couple dimes and a few pennies.

But, I gotta admit, I was feeling a bit low as I made my turn
toward the car and home.

I got a fairly easy quarter hit and dug. But I wasn't paying too
much attention. Then, I noticed it was a wheatie. I said thank you!
Then....I noticed there was more in the hole. A pocket spill to finish
up, is, to me, a legitimate "exit find"! So, I'm feeling a bit better.

Arranging the coins for a pic I noticed something else! A buffalo nickel!!
and......a Lincoln memorial!?!?? I know it happens, but this is my most interesting
pocket spill I've ever had! And......it was about to get even more interesting!

I replaced the plug, checked it before I moved on and guess what?! The "quarter"
hit was still there!! I uncovered, dug a bit more and saw this:







One hole.....one of my most interesting.







All in all....not such a terrible day, eh?

love the fob! Interesting that it was dropped in a spill with a Memorial penny. That fob must have been worn/carried for a LONG time or someone took it out for show and lost it!

UPDATE

Just an update on that Buffalo Nickle in case any cared.

Sorry it took so long but one needs to proceed very cautiously when using my "Nuclear, Electrolysis, Microwave, Ultrasonic, Chemical Powerwashing, Pressure cooking, Annealing furnace, acid bathing, Cleaning machine"
