Had me curious...so I downloaded the pic and expanded it up quite
a ways. Looks like there's been some modifications done in Photoshop.

The hair looks to be part of the hat/helmet the kids wearing...and
I'm not even sure it's a boy. They also say "ran away yesterday",
implying the 6yo. was out on his own all night?
