Ive have found over 1000 pieces of gold jewelry since 1975 (age 12) in this hobby
I have found most of it as a water hunter over the last 20+ yrs
So learned early on "what's what" but know many others may not

I was told for years when i was younger that white gold was mostly made with nickle added to give its silvery finish
