Did they find ever anything? The story of Jean Lafittes old gunner that lived on Galveston beach is a really interesting. He paid for everything in gold and every once in a while he would row across the bay to restock his spending money. If I remember the story right, Lafittes nephew showed up one day and they went out together and came back with couple of old chests and sailed away. It makes you wonder though.
