Garage sale/Dumpster score

About two weeks ago I stopped at a garage sale, did not see anything valuable but asked for watches. The owner did not have any. I looked inside the garage, and see this Snap On Tool Box. I asked the seller if anything inside the garage is for sale. He says no, but that he is moving and has to be out in a week or two. I give him my number and ask him to call me when he is ready ro show it.

I din't get a call for about a week until yesterday, but since I was at work, I was not able to answer the call. I saw TVhat a message had been left, but I forgot all about it until late yesterday. It was the gentleman telling me that the tool cart was ready. I was not able to return his call until around 10 am. As I'm calling him, he tells me that he is pushing the cart out to the curb for trash pick up. I let him know right away that I want it, and he agrees to push it back up his drive way. After work my friend and I went to pick it up. It was Free. It resulted from a garage sale, but ended up being a dumpster rescue. Does anyone know the approximate age? Thank you as always for your comments and thoughts. Always appreciated.

If it doesn't have roller drawers, it's probably late 70's early 80's I would guess..
Lucky score there. He could have easily sold it on CL for a couple of hundred.

I knew a mechanic who had to file personal bankruptcy, because of how deep in extended credit he got into with the Snap-On man. I think that dummy would let his kids go hungry, before he'd let go of any of his coveted Snap-On tools. The dude was obsessed with his Snap-On tools and it was well noted to everyone to never touch any of them.

That's a score I find tons of Snap on and Mac for really cheap its crazy

Take a look on the back side of the boxes. It will have the model (KRxxx or KRAxxx ) along with a 3 digit date code somewhere on it. My guess is mid to late 1960s. If there are no keys, you can get them from Snap on via their lock supplier. All you need is the code on the front of the cylinder and you can buy a pair.
