Garden Related ? ID Needed ?

I'm searching a 1/2 acre area that previously was a garden and now a grass
lawn I've dug these before But here their plentiful an now i'm wondering what
they are ? what they came off of ? fertilizer ? plant food ? ?

They all look like the metal spouts out of salt boxes or pour spouts of some kind that got flattened

at a container of salt and there it was

Someone must have been invaded by slugs
to use that much salt in in their yards. Jim.
