I was thumbing through a catalog that came to my office this morning, and I saw the Garrett Ace 250 for 239.97. Comes with headphones and a travel bag. Great detector. Steve, just bought my ACE 250 from A & S Company (referral from a TN member) a couple of weeks ago. Sean at A & S was nice guy to deal with. Anyway, $212.45 shipped, with carry bag, stereo headphones, probe, apron and Garrett Coinhunter book. And, unlike Kellyco and a couple of others, A & S doesn't charge shipping for their "free" items.

I dont have an ace 250. I know people here usually say you can grab them for around $250. I most often use sportsmansguide.com for military surplus stuff (bags, magazines, optics, etc), but when I was looking through this morning, I saw the detector. sounds like you got a great price on yours. You should post the info for the place you got it.

and i agree about kellyco... I tend not to shop with them anymore

Just got mine from metaldetector.com for the $212.00 price with all the cool free stuff. It looks like that national sale will end on 2/28/07, since I have seen the same price all over the web for the ACE 250.

One more thing about metaldetector.com - they have free shipping too. But I called kellyco too and they wanted me to pay up to $50 shipping for express mail! I ended up paying the 19.97 for 2 day so I could have it by the weekend. They were wonderful to work with and even made a special effort to get it out today. I got my email with my UPS receipt number within 30 minutes!
