I watched the Travel Channels show last night regarding relic hunting and have a question. I am fairly new to relic hunting and wanted to know which technique was most preferred. They show a few guys using the shallow sweep and several men digging 3 foot holes looking for deep items in fire pits. How would you know if a signal may be a fire pit? I can't see digging deep pits on each signal. Is there a technique to this method? The show never really went into it much. Thanks in advance.
