Garrett AT Gold on the Chesapeake Bay

I know the Garrett AT Pro and Gold are recommended for fresh water only, but has anyone experienced any conductivity issues in the waters of the Chesapeake Bay which is half and half? I'm going there this weekend!

Brackish water and saltwater are one in the same when it comes to metal detector performance. The gold will not ground balance to salt as well I believe

I think it's the other way around. the Gold will perform better than the Pro.
