New sub-forum for The Axiom

I just noticed the Axiom lite and the GM2000 are going for the same price. I don't know a lot about metal detectors, but I was led to believe that the PI machine is always superior.

It is my understanding GM2000 is better at detecting fine/small gold and easier to learn, Axiom is deeper and better in hot (highly mineralized) ground but more difficult for inexperienced people.

I have not used either one...

This might help.

That was a bizarre comparison.

Just a sales pitch by a dealer.

The only similarity is the price $1999.00 US.

Axiom is strictly a dual ground balance point pulse induction detector that can use mono or focused core DD coils

Gold Monster 2000 is a VLF with Multi IQ running 12 to 75 kHz, that has hybrid pulse induction type audio responses.

Axiom will hit 0.1 gram targets and bigger. Way deeper than the Gold Monster 2000 on larger targets.

Gold Monster 2000 will hit 0.01 targets and bigger. It has a depth limit of about 8" on coin sized targets with its two available coils.

I own and have used both a lot and I would never think to compare them as apples to apples.
