Forcast of a fine day at last and they were right, sun stayed out all the time I was there.
Paid another visit to the 'Grenade Farm' and yes, got a bumper crop of grenade parts and cartridges:

A few buckles (pretty old ones I think):

and 13 coins ranging from a George II 1724 Halfpenny, George III Halfpenny, Victoria, Edward VII, George V & VI pennies, 1937 Shilling to a 1989 New penny:

Other finds included the remains of a very large copper spoon, silver spoon, toy gun, Bull's nose ring, a bit of metal with just the date on 1941 and a very interesting Pentagram (Hexagram - sorry) design lead thingy! (placed in the 'What is it'):

Looking forward to getting back there shortly.
Best wishes.

Its a shame they don't plough on this one - All pasture and Sheep here.

Looks like a good hunt! A good mishmash of relics. I see an 18th century spiggot tap there too!

Nice hunt David! HH, Mike

Yes, These are the 36M MKI Hand Grenade - Remains of army training though rather than actual combat.

Nice hunt, and the weather cooperated.

Great hunt!!!

This thing with the pointy end in the lower right corner is a ring for a bulls nose. I had to put one in once right up next to the bull--so I know---believe me!

The little hole is where a tiny set-screw goes threw. It is tied to a thread so it is not lost a critical time, nose-to-nose with bull.

SKD

Rather you than me! I'm OK with the cows and sheep just a bit cautious though where there is a bull out!
The two halves of the ring were found separately, about 2 foot apart.

Nice digs, David. Love those grenade parts too. Must have been a fierce battle at that spot, for sure

That's no pentagram. That's the Star of David.

Sorry - That's my mistake - I know its a 'Hexagram' - correctly described in the 'What Is It' post, just rushing to get it up here. Any idea what it is?
