half penny with colonial American provenance!
 

Those dated 1749 are especially important, as a large portion of those produced were shipped here as payment for the New England-sponsored expedition to take Louisbourg from the French four years earlier.

That's a Farthing. 1749 is a very common date for Britannia Farthings. Nice looking coin :thumbsup:
