Nice dig, that milk glass immerser is a good find, and like the sided cone. I notice you guys are using Schlatter probes. I like to let people know those are very hard on the joints, due to having solid handles. Used them for years and they do not absorb shock and contributed to some torn up shoulders, elbows, wrists, etc.. A hollow handle will help over the long run. Besides you lose a ton of feel, sound etc.. Keep tearing it up!

Hey Illini, good idea on the hollow handles. My buddy has a shorter one and come to thing of it, it does feel better. And yes they are a terror on the arms. Thanks for the reply, sounds like a winter project replacing handles for me ;D jgas

that is so cool that you're digging all those unbroken bottles in a yard like that!!! I like bottles but have never looked for them much except a few times in some old dump sites near my house. how did you know they were buried there? be careful with that deep hole and don't let it cave in on you!! I do a lot of caving and we sometimes have to dig open a small entrance and I've heard horror stories of the surrounding dirt caving in on people.
