Found a way to get full silver value out of my 40% halves this month. I wanted to buy a power wood planer and a pressure washer. Shopped new and each was well over $400.00 so started hunting used. Found them used on Craig's List locally. Asked each seller if they would take 40% halves at that days silver value in exchange for the used item. Both fellows said yes, one was willing to drop his asking price for the washer by $25 for the coins. I got $2.64 for each coin the day I traded. I paid $56.50 for the $300 planer and $28.50 for the $150 washer face value. Now looking for some gold dry washer equipment and will attempt the same trade. Might be able find someone willing to trade again.

Awesome some thats some good bargaining everyone wins

I think we should all get used to doing it your way ... soon our paper will be worthless and that may be the only way to buy anything. [emoji15]

That's pretty cool, congrats!

ya done good:icon_thumleft::icon_thumright:....unless the tools were made in China:BangHead:

Dewalt planer and Simpson washer, both work fantastic and so far to me was a good deal.

Nice imaginative trade. Both sides got what they wanted. A win-win. Congrats.
