Not sure if this is the right forum for this thread, but since I'm making it for my Drywasher - so be it.

I have a few locations that look very promising for drywashing this fall and game trails are really the only access.
Even too rugged to bike in.

I've carried my drywasher, strapped to a pack frame already and it's doable, but I had so much more I needed to go back for on a second trip.
And the new locations I have scoped out, are too far for a second trip.

And a couple spots I would like to maybe spend the night at, so that means tent, bag, stove, extra water, blah, blah, blah.

So I want to make my own version of one of these:

With this, I can bring that big battery to run my puffer and vac,
Couple gallons of water, tools, and the kitchen sink!

Anyone use something like it?

Man I gotta get one of those. My shed is so plugged full mining gear she'l never notice one more thing.

Will put one of these on the list of things to make --- I have loads of bike parts laying around.
Thanks

Me too.
Lots of bike parts and old Razor Scooter parts.
Lots of 7/8" AL tubing lying around too.

I think this thing would really make a difference for those "hike in only" places, especially when going alone most of the time.

I've used a deer cart to haul gear into the wilderness.
This picture doesn't show ALL the gear (it was an early test to see if my highbanker and pump would fit), but you get the idea:

It's not easy; the going is slow. But with everything bungie corded onto the contraption it can work.

Hey Brian,

Yeah I looked at some of the game carts out there too.
That one you pictured is huge! that'll haul a weeks worth of supplies too!

But I think keeping it a single wheel will make a big difference as far as the areas I want to access.

Google "travois" or "game cart". There was just a thread on the mule which combines the advantages of a backpack with the wheel. I can see it not being handy in all situations however.

Not sure why, but not many jogging strollers at the thrift stores of late

And even rarer is the bike trailer

Don't quote me on this guys but I think any trail in Wilderness Areas and its boots or hooves only with no exceptions.........Sucks!

This is true. No wheels allowed in a wilderness area. You can use a shovel and sluice. I even have a letter from our senator (Democrat) saying so to wave in the face of any USFS ranger as needed :)

Dry washing quartzite any one?
I'm planing a trip in November .

Jair,
Thought you'd sold off all the drywashing gear to go "mill'n hard rock?"
Longing for dust in the eyes & nose and taste of dirt huh.........Welcome back brother!

Taking my lady on a cruise in November but when we get back I'm off to the Mojave to work claims. Lots of good placer in Quartzite though, some buddies of mine been killing it last few winters.
