Hello! I was lucky enough to find this chunky 16 gram silver bracelet at work. Unfortunately the customer didn't come back for it for 3 weeks. So I got to take it home. It looks homemade...hammered. no markings. 100% sure it's silver but not positive if it's only plated, or soild sterling. Any ideas which it is or how to figure it out? I don't see any chipping showing what's underneath (if it is plated). Thanks!

Nice!!! Congrats!!! Swing it by a jeweler. They’ll test it for free usually:)

I was thinking along the same lines a GoldieLocks, as it looks like it would be rather uncomfortable to wear. :icon_scratch:
It looks too crude to be made of silver, possibly aluminum or nickel.

Are you completely sure this isn't a children's Crackerjack toy of some sort? Aluminum plated, perhaps?
Too big for kids...and my store doesn't get a whole lot of kids cuz we don't sell kids clothes or toys. Pretty sure I noticed it on a guy who bought something from me. Now that you say that tho, I'm looking at it and it could be aluminum.

Yah you could be right about the medal type. But it's not a kids bracelet

Aluminum will be super light weight, being 16 grams seems more like silver. Maybe someones jewelry project using patterned silver sheet, there are hundreds of patterns, look for solder lines or marks on the inside of the links.

OK interesting. I think my best bet it to get it tested. I plan to sell it but want to be sure what I'm selling first, so I can give an appropriate price. Thanks!
