Gift from Grandpa. Large cents and colonial copper. (lots of pics)

Thought I'd post these in the General forum as I did not find these. My grandfather whose has been MDing for 30+ years gave these to me this past weekend while we were visiting. He had sold most of his collection but had saved these. While I still hope to find some copper like this one day, it sure was a nice surprise to get them from him.

I've tried to identify them the best I can but if anyone believes I am wrong feel free to call me out. The only source I have is the internet and my Red Book.

1806 Capped Bust. Not sure about the 6 as I cannot make out the last number.




1896 British Half Pence?




1852 cut large cent with some amazing detail.

And saving the oldest and best for last.

1788 Imitation British Halfpence (Machin's Mill) Georgivs III. At least that's the best I can come up with with my red book. The only issue I have is my coin has a dot before the III and the coin in the red book does not. not sure if that means anything. Anyone willing to guess a grade on this one?




Looks like another Georgivs III but cannot make out the date.

You are correct on the 1788. It is a Vlack 23-88A. The dot is supposed to be there on this variety, I don't know about the picture in the Red Book. Nice coin!
