They are really cute, but they are also very intelligent.

He get's insistent if you don't hand the treats over quick enough.

The best though is when he see's a meal worm, he flat leaps onto then!

What happens if it gets wet ?

When wet they lose about half their volume, their fur is really fluffy and the water flattens it!

OMG Red saw this post and she wants one!!!!!!! We just got rid of the Pig ( not the silver one that Jeep got ) for his hood ornament!!!! her sister dropped off a Guinea pig a few months ago and I am so glad that I found it a New Home!!!! Red has been sick lately It was because of the PIG!!!!! She lost over 60 Pounds!!!!! But is recovering quickly now that the Guinea pig is Gone!!! do they carry germ's that humans do that would make her sick? Chug

Good to hear she's getting better, being sick ain't no fun.

None that I have heard/read of, they can catch colds from people tho.

Do need to wash hands after handling, just to be on the safe side.

Need check you local laws as they are not legal to have everywhere.

I normally recommend getting a same sex pair as the are social animals and live in family group's of up to 20 individuals in the wild.
Having a pair helps when your short on time, single gliders need more "people time" than pairs do.

They can live up to 12~15 years in captivity, and their diets require more than store bough dry pellet food.
