Let me start by saying ive been an avid detectorist since the mid 70's, Ham Radio Operator (KD5YQF) Anyway I am curious, I was reading an old post on here about people being scammed...One guy said his friend had buried a jar of coins in his backyard, and him, and his buddy got a "signal line" on it, and dug the loot..OK, fine, but what kept the coins in their pockets, or the coins in nearby homes, or all the money in the nearby bank (if there was a bank) from reacting?? On the same line i've been curious when you are searching for gold what keep the device from registering your own wedding band, or gold in other directions
Same for paper money, its everywhere.... Thanks for the replies..Tom
