I spent 3 weeks in Deerfield last Christmas holidays about 5 miles from the beach. Worked the beach a few times and found a bit of change. Had one guy come down from his condo and more or less told me this was his beach when it came to metal detecting. However, what got me was the $2.00 an hour to park your car. And these parking lots were few and far between. I suppose if I was a local I would know where to park for free. And one more thing, I found the sand very course and if you wore sandals and if got inside your sandals straps it chewed up your feet.
All and all I really didn't enjoy my time there. I guess I am spoiled after spending a couple of weeks each year working Myrtle Beach.
