After researching and trying to find a machine that can be a little productive in the wet sand, The choice was made I am going to purchase the Safari over the 705. I believe that this machine will respond well in wet sand due to the FBS multiple frequency technology. Any thoughts on my choice? :notworthy:

Yes, multi freq is much better in salt.

I think you'll be sorry. :dontknow:

Multi frequency can adjust to salt conditions better, but you absolutely need to get a cover for the control box. Sand particles will be carried by the wind and work their way into the unit eventually. You will prolong the life of your Safari by doing this.

The Safari is a good choice that Treasure Pleasure made for wet sand...I would take the Safari with it's Multi. Freq. over the 705 any day...........The Excalibur would have been better if he was to go in the water.......... Dano..So why do you think he will be sorry ????

Safari is a good unit, own one myself, it works fine at the beach, but if you were looking for something that could be used on the beach, why didnt you get an Excal to begin with.....

If you use the Safari at the beach remember there is salt mist in the air, be sure you keep it covered.........

Nothing "technical" lol. My other site, Minelabowners, The guys all seem to rave over the 705 on the beach and my 305 was very good there. Never had a safari, so yes, granted, i should keep quiet! :)

I don't really like mine on wet sand false's to much.

Better used explorer, you will have where to grow. Safari NO NO NO

I don't know why anyone would oppose to the Safari in wet sand. I just returned from Myrtle Beach today, I hunted a week on the beach and it worked perfectly in both the wet and dry sand. When I say wet, I mean I hunted at the water's edge and it never falsed - I can say it worked perfectly. I will say I used the noise cancel when moving from the water to wet to semi-wet to dry sand conditions, if you do not use the noise cancel frequently you may indeed get false signals.

For what it's worth.
