Gold anyone?

Hello, I'm still learning the f70, i was wondering if anyone has ever found gold with this machine, i herd people and retailers say that it has the potential. i live in upper Michigan and there's gold spread around rivers and such, i was just wondering if there's a certain setting u would run the machine in, or what would the target id come up as in disc mode?

For searching for gold, use all metals autotune mode, dig everything that says "zip", and make sure to do the ground grab maneuver whenever you hear the ground getting noisy. If you have a small accessory searchcoil, use that in preference to the standard size searchcoil. If you're digging tiny bits of metal so small you can hardly see them, if you'd have swung it over gold, it would have seen that too. So don't cuss the tiny metal trash too much, that's the stuff that tells you you're doing it right.

I highly recommend before going gold prospecting, read my book "Gold Prospecting with a VLF Metal Detector" which is available in .pdf format on the Fisher website, also the Teknetics website. Some dealers stock the paperback version.

Single most important rule: search where gold is. If there is no gold, nothing in the way of equipment or skill can make up for that deficiency.
