Gold chain found

I had my best jewelry find ever yesterday at high tide. I was detecting above the water, in the wet, packed sand, which would have been the towel line at low tide. Got a 17 signal on my Manticore, didn't think much of it, but started digging it anyway. Saw a glint of gold, which always does the trick, right? And slowly pulled out a fake gold chain! It really made my day after finding nothing the rest of the trip. After 28 trips to the beach, I finally got a chain. It's the best piece of jewelry I've found since I've been detecting. I put it in the center of the rest of my fake gold and silver. Everything else is downhill from here.

Hey, if you're digging fake jewlery often that means people are losing jewelry in general at a pretty decent rate, and that's a good sign, you'll likely start digging real gold if you stay persistent.

Just think about all those posts you made when you didn't find a thing, nada, zip, zilch, zero. And now you're starting to make some finds, coins, jewelry, so you're on a roll. Real or fake, finding jewelry is miles better than finding zip or finding clad. You're making progress and your persistence is starting to pay off. Keep going, the real stuff is right around the corner.

Hey CH, I know how you feel, but I can tell you this, the first really good find always seems to be an insurmountable bar, very difficult to jump over. But the good news is that once you jump that bar and make your first good find, you proved you can do it, and I think you’ll find that good finds will start coming at a faster pace.

Up until 1954, nobody had ever run a 4-minute mile. Experts believed it was physically impossible for a human to run a mile in under 4 minutes. But in 1954, Roger Bannister became the first human to break the 4-minute mile barrier. Once he proved it could be done, several more people did it that year, then more the next year, and the next. Since 1954, over 2,000 athletes have broken the 4-minute mile. Breaking that first barrier is the tough part and sometimes may seem impossible. But once that first barrier is broken, everything flows a lot faster from there.

I’ve experienced this exact same thing in sales. Making that first sale always seemed to be extremely tough, but I knew I had to do it because once I broke that barrier & got the first sale, the floodgates opened, more sales started flowing much easier and faster. I don’t know how this all works, but I can say firsthand that it does work. That’s why it’s important to have persistence and not give up. Gotta get that first good find, whether Gold or Silver, under your belt. Once you break that first barrier, then more will follow.
