It was going to be a nice day today so I decided to take a ride to the Indian River Inlet in Delaware and metal detect at Coin Beach.
Coin Beach got its name because the merchant ship Faithful Steward sank off the coast there in 1785. It was carrying 400 barrels of British copper coins and rose gold guineas.
To this day people can still find a coin from the Faithful Steward.
I didn't plan this trip out so when I got there it was high tide. My hopes where not high on finding something from the Faithful Steward. So I wasn't to disappointed that all I found was some crusty clad. I still had fun. 🙂
